New Era Jewelry Design is a local family-owned and operated business. We come from multiple generations of jewelers and jewelry experts. With more than 45 years of combined experience and a long legacy to live up to, we are pushing through to the future by celebrating each and every moment of building our brand. Our Story – Fabian & Stephanie 

It all started in Monterrey, Mexico where Fabian was born into a long legacy of jewelers. His father and grandfather before him were both jewelers, as well as Fabian’s two older brothers. Fabian started his apprenticeship with his father and grandfather in 1987 when he was just 15 years of age. He continued honing his knowledge and expertise, and soon after opened a jewelry repair shop in Monterey, Nuevo León. 

Fabian operated his jewelry repair shop until 2003, when, as a father of two, he set his sights on a bigger dream — The American Dream. He was offered an opportunity to be a jeweler in a world-renowned jewelry store in the USA. He set forth to a better life for himself and his children. As he built his life in America, Fabian was given a glimpse of the future when he saw Stephanie. She was a fellow sales team coworker, and it was love at first sight. 

Fabian was unsure how to approach her as their differences were great. Fabian was only fluent in Spanish and Stephanie was only fluent in English. Not to mention the 19-year age difference. He took a leap of faith and stepped out of his comfort zone and attempted to speak English to her (though his first attempt went rather poorly). Stephanie also struggled to see the common ground but was intrigued by his efforts, and they agreed to spend time with one another. Immediately, they both understood that this was something worth fighting for. Everything moved quickly between them and soon their hearts were as one. They were married within the first year of meeting.

Once married, Fabian and Stephanie bought a house to live in with their now four children. With a sparkle in their eyes, they shared their dreams and visions of being business owners and providing the world with beautiful custom jewelry. Stephanie started her apprenticeship with Fabian, and he taught her everything he knew. After years of learning to make custom jewelry, Stephanie now works for one of the most prestigious jewelry stores in the US. There is truly no mountain they can’t climb when they are working side-by-side.

In 2019, Stephanie gave birth to their fifth child. It was at this moment she decided to make her dream a reality and open her own jewelry store. She started a small Etsy shop in her spare time to get a feel for business ownership. Shortly after the pandemic hit, Stephanie was furloughed from her jewelry store job. It was then that she decided this pursuit needed to be full-time. Stephanie and Fabian both believe God has truly provided for them through every season. They are walking hand-in-hand toward the future. 

Our Goal

The goal of New Era Jewelry Design is to leave a legacy. Not only for our children but also for the many individuals who we hope will treasure our beautiful custom jewelry creations for many years to come.

We work to teach our children everything we know and to encourage them to have their own dreams and ambitions. As our children are currently apprenticing under us, we welcome their views, opinions, and ideas.
